TORONTO, ON: Paul Rosen continued his inspiring tour with a large speaking engagement in Mississauga at the Living Arts Centre. This free event brought together a wide range of Mississauga residents and agencies including those involved in employment services and training and education. On hand to give Paul a warm reception was Hazel McCallion, Mayor of Mississauga, who emphasized the importance of Paul’s message.
Paul highlighted to attendees how his disability didn’t define him or what he could do. Instead, he embraced his ability and found new opportunities including becoming a paralympic athlete. From there, Paul shared how he faced his biggest challenge -improving his ability to read and write. With the support of Grade Learning, Paul made remarkable improvements in his reading, writing, spelling and use of computers. Now, Paul is able to undertake tasks that before seemed out of reach such as reading a novel or writing well written notes.
